AIRCRAFT ARRESTER BARRIER SYSTEM

Multi-Element Net (MENA)

INTRODUCTION

In order to arrest a fighter aircraft during emergency landing, aborted take off or similar situations, an arrester barrier is required to be installed at both ends of a military runway. This net covers with width of the runway and the overrun area. It is kept in place by two stanchions installed on each side of the runway

During an engagement, the net envelopes the aircraft, releases from the stanchions and distributes the breaking force generated by the connected energy absorbers.

John Galt International has signed a Transfer of Technology with Ministry of Defense, for Manufacturing  of Aircraft Arrester Barrier Systems for 20.4MT and 40 MT Aircrafts. With the agreement, John Galt International is authorized to manufacture, supply, install, commission, provide spares, product support and annual maintenance to overseas clients as well.

John Galt International has received a national award for indigenization of Arrester Barriers from Department of Defense Production and Supplies under the Mechanical Engineering Category
