Expandable Mobile
Shelter (EMS)

A pre-fabricated shelter that travels in a compact, container-sized configuration and expands on site into roughly three times the space. Manufactured by John Galt International under Transfer of Technology from DRDO’s Vehicles Research & Development Establishment (VRDE), Ahmednagar.

Construction

Aluminium sandwich panel construction. Fixed floor, roof, front and rear panels; expanding left and right sides.

Air conditioning & NBC filtration

MIL-grade air conditioning, 3 ton capacity × 2. NBC protection system, 225 m³/h × 2. EMI shielded in expanded condition.

Applications

Mobile operation room, command post, communication shelter, field office, field hospital/OT, repair facility, VIP caravan.

Demonstrated in an Operation Theatre configuration
