Brief Introduction to John Galt International

John Galt International (JGI) was established as Partnership Firm by Mr. R K Bhatia in 1979 with a unit in MIDC, Badlapur, Maharashtra.

The company has a sterling track record of over 35 years in undertaking critical projects for a range of industries.

It has 5 state-of-the-art manufacturing units located at Badlapur, Maharashtra with a combination of equipment designed and installed in-house and best-in-class imported machinery from Italy, etc. JGI has capabilities for welding, fabrication, deep hole drilling, rolling, etc.

The Company employed 13 permanent staff and 285 contracted labourers as of 31 March, 2016.

The Company has expanded its expertise in manufacturing to industries including chemical, petrochemical, cement, material handling and steel plans. JGI’s clientele consists of leading names in each of the end-user industries. Over the last 30 years, JGI has been a part of several key Defense programs and has assisted the Indian Defense in design, manufacture and service of critical equipment.

1979

JGI was established as a Partnership Firm by Mr. R K Bhatia

1979

Began subcontracting of crane parts for Garlic Engineering, Ambernath

1982

Extended subcontracting of crane parts to other crane manufacturers

1983

Began manufacturing electrostatic precipitators for Voltas, for pollution control

1985

Developed 5 ground systems with documentations and drawings for RDR(E

1985

Accomplished a special welding process for Magnesium alloys on the wing panels of missiles for DRDL, Hyderabad. Welded wing panels of 75 Prithvi missiles

1985

Assisted the Indian Government’s DRDO Lab to supply two fuel tanks for India’s first expedition to Antarctica. These were one of the few indigenous equipment on board the expedition

1986

Participant of the missile program to supply ground support systems for Research and Development Establishment (Engineers)

1987

Manufactured Thrust Frames for Agni and Prithvi missiles

1990

Manufactured G-Fuel and O-Fuel containers for missiles. Supplied to the High Explosives Factory, Pune

1992

Undertook bulk production of 6 ground support systems for the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program. Supplied to Bharat Dynamics Limited until 2006

1994

Manufactured slipways for the DGNP Vizag port, for 600 tonne payload ships brought for repairs

1994

Began manufacture of main ion exchanger, thermal humidifiers, ion exchangers for Indian Navy to be used in ATV (Advanced Technology Vessels)

1995

Joined hands with Aerial Delivery Research and Development Establishment (ADRDE), a DRDO Lab, Agra to design and develop aircraft arrestor barriers for the Indian Air Force

1996

Received a National Award for successfully indigenously designing aircraft arrestor barriers

1997

From 1997-2001, successfully installed 21 arrestor barriers for the ADRDE including Manufacture, civil foundation work at runway strip, erection, commissioning, 2 years of complementary product support, AMC, spare parts

2000

Designed, developed and manufactured ground support systems for laser based weapon systems through DRDO Lab

2013

Entered into a 5 year contract with Larsen and Toubro to manufacture a range of products for their Heavy Engineering Division

2016

Won its first export order worth 0.5mn Pounds to supply Chemical Engineering components to Morgan Group UK Limited
